Sustainability and Resource Recovery Educator

Reducing waste to landfill is a key focus for our community, with various initiatives underway to promote sustainability and resource recovery. As a Sustainability and Resource Recovery Educator, you will play a pivotal role in educating the community on effective waste minimization practices.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering educational resources and promotional materials to schools, local businesses, and community groups. You will also work closely with internal departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to achieve our sustainability goals. To succeed in this position, you will need strong knowledge of waste management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Develop and deliver education programs for schools and community groups to promote sustainable waste reduction and recycling practices.
  • Work closely with local businesses and community groups to establish and maintain in-house recycling practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to develop and implement sustainable waste reduction and conservation initiatives.

This is a 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover position, working part-time (20 hours per week). You must have relevant experience and qualifications to apply for this role.
