About the Role

Catholic Schools Broken Bay is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Language Specialist Teacher - Japanese for K-12 to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective language learning resources for students in Kindergarten to Year 12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement language learning resources for K-12 Japanese Cross Campus courses, including creating content to support the HSC Optimisation Project Workshop days and updating the scope and sequence for the Japanese Experience Course.
  • Design and deliver lesson plans, content, and resources to support the course, both in physical and digital formats.
  • Provide advice and planning support to the Cross Campus Centre Japan Tour team, including researching and collating information on Japanese language websites.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of Japanese Language and Cultural Experience days in the diocese, including the HSC Optimisation Project Workshop days and the Cross Campus Centre Japanese Experience Course Face-to-Face days.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching languages and creating resources for language courses.
  • Passion for working with young people and a keen eye for detail to deliver consistently accurate and informed written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to work with the customer in mind to serve their needs and requirements, and manage competing priorities and sensitivities to deliver high-quality work.
  • Experience supporting Overseas exchange programs and school tours.
  • Relevant tertiary teaching qualifications, NESA accreditation, and a valid Working with Children Check.
