About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Faculty Leader to join our team as the Head of Faculty - Language Specialist. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in shaping the future of language education at our school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a diverse and dedicated team of language educators, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning practices.
  • Develop and implement innovative language education programs that cater to the needs of our students, incorporating real-world connections and inquiry-based pedagogy.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, promoting a student-centered approach to education.
  • Contribute to the academic leadership of the school, providing expertise and guidance on language education matters.
Requirements
  • Formal teaching qualifications in languages, with a strong focus on stage 6.
  • Current registration with NESA, including recent experience teaching in a classroom.
  • Current First Aid Certificate and valid NSW Working with Children Check.
  • Valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Education Leadership or a specialty area.
  • Highly Accomplished Teacher with Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading Teaching and Learning initiatives in a Secondary School landscape.
  • Demonstrated professional knowledge through presenting and attending external workshops, conferences, and leadership within a professional association.
  • Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate curriculum.
What We Offer
  • An attractive and above-agreement teaching salary between $117,132 - $133,748, plus a generous Leadership Level 2 allowance.
  • Ongoing teaching role with an initial 3-year fixed-term leadership component as Head of Faculty.
