Customer Service Role

At V/Line, our purpose is to connect Victorians through safe, reliable and accessible transport. We believe in giving all Victorians opportunities through travel and transport – connecting them to jobs, education, family and friends, services, tourism and trade.

Job Overview:

Our customer service role will be primarily based out of Bendigo station. The main duties involve providing top-notch service to customers on V/Line services and ensuring safety on and around the rail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Selling tickets
  • Making platform announcements
  • Assisting passengers
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the station and its facilities
  • Assisting during disruptions by coordinating bus replacements and supporting safe, on-time train departures

Upon successful completion of training, you will be certified with a Certificate 3 in Rail Customer Operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking self-motivated individuals who prioritise customer service and safety. Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Successful completion of Year 10 or equivalent
  • Ability to work independently and proactively without supervision
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments

  • Strong verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong safety culture and willingness to adhere to company values
