Quality Assurance Professional

The role of Quality Assurance Professional is available due to continuous growth at a rail maintenance facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining compliance within the Quality Management System.

As a Quality Assurance Professional, you will monitor the workplace and work processes to identify opportunities for improvement through regular auditing, assessing and implementing appropriate control measures.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in maintaining the Quality Management System and ensure that policies and procedures are complied with by all staff.
  • Conduct Corrective Action Improvement Plans and implement approved controls.
  • Regularly review and provide team members with updates on quality registers.
  • Conduct spot and scheduled audits and ensure approved controls are implemented.
  • Participate in the preparation and completion of internal and external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement throughout QMS and processes.
  • Liaise with suppliers and ensure compliance.
  • Issue and monitor non-conforming product reports as required.
  • Assist in documentation development and control as required.
  • Review and report any non-compliance to the supervisory team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in monitoring quality management systems.
  • Experience in auditing and implementing controls.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels.
  • Quality focused with a high attention to detail.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Able to pass Rail Industry medical if/as required.
