Senior Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead projects and project teams on complex road infrastructure projects.

  • The successful candidate will drive the technical delivery of multidisciplinary projects, mentor staff, and ensure successful execution of major transport infrastructure projects.

This role involves leading the design of complex transport infrastructure projects, contributing to long-term plans aligned with our business strategy, procuring work, negotiating contracts, and ensuring positive financial and technical outcomes for projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage design teams across multiple disciplines and offices to deliver design packages.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, contractors, and subconsultants.
  • Mentor staff and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Recognized tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in design management of major transport infrastructure projects.
  • Chartered membership of Engineers Australia (or equivalent) or progress toward membership.
  • Expertise in relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
