Civil Design Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior or Principal level Civil Engineer to provide strategic leadership for our Defence Infrastructure business. The role will focus on developing and executing comprehensive strategies during tenders and leading the delivery of civil infrastructure components for major Defence capital facilities and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management of Civil engineering tasks, including investigations, and preparation of technical reports, designs and drawings, contract documents and specifications
  • Undertake reviews and verification of engineering calculations, reports and deliverables completed by others within the team
  • Lead the delivery of design documentation and drawings completed by the project team
  • Supervise project staff and review deliverables to ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance standards
  • Prepare or lead the proposal teams to prepare technically sound, well-written and easily understood proposals, reports, technical specifications and calculations
  • Achieve project objectives while maintaining budgetary constraints
  • Demonstrate an understanding of client needs and achieve high levels of client satisfaction
  • Maintain and enhance technical reputation and relationships in the Defence sector
