Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to lead our water infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating complex engineering activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions, leading project teams, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. They will also be required to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and to facilitate design coordination and review meetings.

In this role, you will be working closely with internal engineering disciplines as well as subcontractors to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will also be required to identify opportunities for business growth and development, and to contribute to proposal and bid development activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all multi-disciplinary activities and inputs by the technical team.
  • Deliver outputs on time and to an appropriate quality.
  • Lead engineering projects and manage internal engineering disciplines as well as subcontractors.
  • Support delivery teams during design and construction.
  • Develop strong client relationships.
  • Undertake internal technical reviews and verification checks on all aspects of water and wastewater projects.
  • Focus on the development of our water and wastewater project delivery expertise.
  • Identify opportunities and develop high-level relationships with key utility clients and future water-focused clients.
  • Assist in the pursuit and proposal phase of key business development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant Engineering field.
  • CPEng and RPEQ (or ability to obtain).
  • At least 10 years civil or process-mechanical water infrastructure engineering experience - design and construction.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities including managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of water and wastewater services and the delivery environment.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and negotiation skills to resolve disputes that arise.
