About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Haematology team at Calvary Mater Newcastle. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients with haematological malignant and non-malignant disease.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments of patients
  • Identify and implement discharge planning requirements
  • Plan and implement appropriate care in consultation with patients and the multidisciplinary team
  • Prioritize and implement planned care to achieve expected outcomes of established priorities
  • Evaluate patient progress and revise nursing interventions as required
  • Document nursing care and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
About You
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting, with a genuine interest in haematology nursing
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently, and in an organized manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Commitment to personal and professional development
