Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management
- Supervise, direct, and guide nursing team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate and monitor the planning, implementation, and evaluation of service outcomes and nursing care standards.
- Clinical Expertise
- Work closely with VMOs and other health team members to identify patient care needs, plan interventions, and review outcomes of care.
- Maintain accurate and legally appropriate documentation of nursing services.
- Professional Development
- Be a strong role model, mentor, and coach to other registered nurses in excellent clinical practice.
- Act as a role model for safe practice.
- Essential Criteria
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience working within an acute medical oncology setting, with experience in antineoplastic therapies.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or working towards is required.
- Completion of ADAC modules for chemotherapy administration.
- Experience and comprehensive clinical knowledge, particularly in oncology-related health issues, with a proven ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate care delivery needs of patients.
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of the National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
