Facilities Management Planner Role

The position of Facilities Management Planner is a key role in our organization's properties team. As a vital member of this team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling property maintenance, both short-term and long-term.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating the Property Helpdesk: Providing timely assistance to stakeholders regarding property-related queries.
  • Preparing Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules: Developing and implementing schedules to ensure the upkeep of all City properties and facilities.
  • Developing Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Processes: Creating efficient processes for facilities maintenance, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Scheduling Resources: Coordinating labour, materials, and access for preventative, planned, and emergency maintenance works.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated expertise in facilities management, planning, or a related field.
  • Maintenance Planning Expertise: Proven ability to develop and implement planned preventative maintenance plans and schedules.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
