Job Title: Chief Underwriting Strategist

This role oversees the development and implementation of underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive underwriting strategy aligned with organisational objectives
  • Provide expert underwriting leadership, guidance and technical expertise to allocated portfolios
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive product development, revenue growth and market expansion while managing risk and volatility
  • Maintain and enhance underwriting capabilities, processes and systems to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Deliver strategic underwriting advice that balances organisational needs, best practices and competitor landscape
  • Translate business priorities into actionable underwriting initiatives
  • Work closely with actuarial and data teams to develop and refine portfolio analysis and performance metrics
  • Contribute to the improvement of underwriting processes and procedures to enhance overall system performance
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders including distribution, marketing, reinsurance and compliance
