Job Title: Chief Investment Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Investment Strategist to spearhead the design and execution of our Strategic Asset Allocation portfolio.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and alignment of business-wide strategies
  • Oversee the continuous enhancement of Internal Asset Management, including Treasury services
  • Provide strategic guidance on the optimal blend of internal and external asset management
  • Serve as second-in-command to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned investment professional to leverage their expertise in developing market-best practices for Strategic Asset Allocation, Asset Liability Management, and hedging approaches.

We require:

  • Demonstrated industry-recognized expertise in balance sheet, capital, and liquidity management
  • Proven track record in managing investments across various asset classes
  • Strong background in asset management, with preference for successful P&L management and adherence to global and local risk limits
  • Ability to define and implement the optimal mix between internal and external asset management
  • Leadership skills, with experience in managing investment professionals

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Applied Finance or related field
  • Proficiency across a wide range of asset classes in both banking and trading books
  • Ability to represent non-mark-to-market risk impacts and develop risk-adjusted benchmarking strategies
  • Affiliation with AFMA accredited trader
