Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Project Development Expert to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic group, working on high-profile projects.

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of project specifications, pricing structures, programs, and contractual conditions. They will assist with the negotiation and agreement of client/main contractor contract documentation, as well as supplier/subcontractor selection and commercial management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of project specifications, pricing structures, programs, and contractual conditions.
  • Review and assist with the negotiation and agreement of client/main contractor contract documentation.
  • Assist other departments with pre-start planning and programming.
  • Select suppliers/subcontractors, analysing competitive offers, and ensuring they have the necessary skill set and capability to deliver the works.
  • Place orders, ensuring that order documentation provides access to all required information for the supplier/subcontractor.
  • Manage supplier/subcontractor commercial management, including variation accounts and requests for payment.
  • Attend external and internal meetings, recording actions, agreements, and unresolved matters.
  • Track progress by internal departments and external suppliers/subcontractors in relation to agreed project programs.
  • Manage company cost control, monitoring, and reporting systems, recommending and implementing improvements.
  • Control changes to PCE's agreed scope of works, identifying, communicating, costing, and resolving changes.
  • Analyse internal reporting systems, design, procurement, and construction, providing feedback on quality and content.
  • Provide advice on commercial and contractual matters, reviewing and drafting correspondence.
  • Measure, value, submit, and negotiate contract variations with the client and supply chain as necessary.
  • Communicate with clients on all project commercial matters, ensuring receipt of payments in accordance with the agreed contract.
  • Complete monthly cost/valuation reports and cash flow for each designated project.

People Management:

  • Become a valued, respected, and trusted member of each project team.
  • Communicate regularly with project staff, ensuring commercial controls are in place, understood, and adhered to at all times.
  • Manage direct reports, ensuring they understand requirements, meet targets, and receive appropriate training when needed.
