We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Agronomist to join our senior leadership team on a permanent, full-time basis. As a key leader, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across our network to define the vision and strategy for our agronomy services.

About the Role:
  • You will lead the development and delivery of agronomic solutions, focusing on enhancing technical capabilities within the team, including precision agriculture and emerging technologies.
  • Design and implement a national training and development program for agronomists across our network.
  • Provide national leadership and technical guidance to our network, promoting best practices and sustainability goals.
  • Expand and grow our fee-for-service agronomy offerings.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to develop and lead cutting-edge research trials and demonstration initiatives.
About You:
  • You require extensive senior leadership experience within the agriculture industry, with a proven ability to drive change and innovation in agronomy.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Agribusiness, Agricultural Science, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • In-depth technical knowledge across agronomy, farm input markets, sustainability, and research & extension practices.
  • A passion for emerging trends in sustainability and innovation, with an established network across farm input industry (nationally and globally).
  • A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels within our Group, coupled with a growth mindset.
About Elders Rural:
