Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Risk Modelling Specialist, your responsibilities will include working on models related to stress testing, capital adequacy, and provisions, while gaining a comprehensive understanding of how various scenarios influence risk parameters, management decisions, and the financial performance of the institution. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Product to assist in various initiatives, including the execution of regulatory stress tests and capital assessments. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both retail and non-retail credit risk models for stress testing and provisions, along with project-related tasks that may involve analytical support for risk management programs and climate risk assessments.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial modelling, preferably with a focus on credit risk, including stress testing, capital management, and provisions.
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as R or Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to business leaders effectively.
  • A strong academic foundation in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, engineering, or computer science.
  • A high level of motivation, drive, and a keen interest in commercial and learning opportunities.
