Role Summary:

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Specialist to join our Financial Accountability Regime team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering on APRA's implementation of the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) across our regulated entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement FAR across insurance and superannuation industries: Collaborate with APRA stakeholder teams, ASIC, regulated entities, and industry bodies to successfully implement and embed the regime.
  2. Provide specialist risk and technical advice: Support supervisors and uplift internal capability on FAR/accountability to enable effective supervisory oversight.
  3. Develop frameworks and training materials: Assist internal stakeholders in implementing the regime and embedding the post-implementation operating model.
  4. Assess and provide technical advice: Evaluate regulated entities' FAR queries and practices.
  5. Contribute to broader initiatives: Collaborate with the team to identify and pursue opportunities for improvement.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a passion for transforming governance and accountability in APRA-regulated industries. You will have a strong background in governance, risk management, or regulatory projects, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Your ability to work with key stakeholders, build relationships, and deliver on commitments will be essential in this role.
