Job Title:

Telecommunications Rigger and Wireless Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team on multiple major projects throughout NSW & QLD. Our team is a trusted resource supplier for several large companies working on NBN and Wireless networks.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in telecommunications rigging techniques and adherence to best practices. They will be familiar with earthing requirements, working at heights certification, and Tower Rescue certification. The ability to comfortably operate at heights regularly is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upgrading and modifying existing wireless telecommunications sites, including mobile and broadcast systems.
  • Performing work at heights and installing mobile/broadcast antenna systems, Remote Radio Units (RRUs), feeders, and Microwave Links.
  • Installing and erecting steelwork, monopoles, towers, etc., as required.
  • Conducting PIM testing, sweep testing, distance to fault analysis, terminating feeders, bird-proofing, and waterproofing connectors.
  • Installing and maintaining antenna and feeder cables on monopoles and towers.
  • Checking, maintaining, and operating equipment in compliance with safety, efficiency, and calibration procedures.

Requirements:

Both Positions:

  • Valid Australian Driver's License.
  • Strong computer and communication skills.

Telecommunication Rigger:

  • Proven experience as a telecommunications rigger.
  • Possession of a current Certificate in Rigging (Basic minimum).
  • Familiarity with earthing requirements.
  • Working at heights certification and Tower Rescue certification.

Wireless Technician:

  • Proven experience as a wireless technician.
  • ACMA License (Open Cabling Ticket), Current First Aid, and CPR Certificates.
  • Construction White Card, RF/EME Awareness, Working at Heights knowledge.
