About the Role

The Site Improvement Specialist will be responsible for identifying and executing improvement projects across all departments at Blackwater Mine. This will involve working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to remove barriers to improvement and influence site leadership on short- and long-term strategies to enhance performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and frame key improvement projects, spanning across all departments in alignment with site priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to remove barriers to improvement.
  • Support site departments to drive and manage their portfolio of improvement initiatives.
  • Provide data analytics to site leaders to identify performance gaps and focus improvements in highest-impact areas.
  • Report and present on key KPIs to site management teams.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiating skills to drive improvement initiatives.
  • Engineering, Finance, Business or similar qualification (advantageous but not essential) and/or demonstrated analytical skillset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in project and change management, as well as facilitating problem-solving sessions.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to see projects through to completion.
  • Ability to work autonomously and pick up new skills quickly.
