Aboriginal Justice Programs Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide critical support in the design, delivery, and evaluation of Aboriginal justice programs.
The successful candidate will work closely with Aboriginal communities, evaluation teams, and other stakeholders to develop community-led initiatives and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a deep understanding of the Aboriginal community and experience in program management. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, ability to work effectively with diverse groups, and a passion for driving systemic change in the justice system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of Aboriginal justice programs under the Aboriginal Justice Agreement.
- Work collaboratively with Aboriginal communities, evaluation teams, and other stakeholders to design and deliver community-led initiatives.
- Monitor program performance, budgets, and milestone reporting to ensure accountability and alignment with contractual requirements.
- Demonstrate a high level of cultural competence and sensitivity when working with the Victorian Aboriginal community.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Aboriginal community, both society and culture, and the issues impacting on it.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and work effectively with the Victorian Aboriginal community.
- Demonstrated experience working in the Aboriginal community and designing community programs, including program logics through to managing/development delivery of new programs.
