Heavy Equipment Technician Job Description

This role is critical to the daily operations of our terminal, where you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining overhead cranes, side loaders, and chassis stackers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment maintenance in either the construction, transportation, or intermodal industries.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on heavy equipment
  • Inspect equipment for damage or failures and perform diagnostics and repair service
  • Remove and replace damaged or defective components
  • Operate support equipment including forklifts, man lifts, and service trucks
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Open availability (24/7/365) available to work nights, weekends, and holidays that fall on your rotation
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience with maintaining heavy equipment in either the Construction, Transportation, or Intermodal Industry
