Compliance Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to support our compliance framework. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in banking and financial services, with expertise in analyzing and interpreting legislation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, reviewing, and monitoring compliance obligations. This includes researching proposed legislative changes, assessing their impact, and supporting implementation. Additionally, they will provide operational and regulatory compliance advice and work closely with stakeholders to ensure obligations are met.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Researching proposed legislative and regulatory changes and working with stakeholders to determine the impact on the division
  • Supporting the Division in the implementation of new and changed obligations whilst providing regular updates to senior management about relevant changes to the regulatory environment affecting the division
  • Providing operational and regulatory compliance advice in relation to our compliance obligations

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in compliance in banking & financial services (Line 1 or 2)
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting financial services legislation
  • An understanding of the wider industry including legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in monitoring or assurance
  • Demonstrated technical skills with well-developed expertise across compliance and risk activities
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships to facilitate risk and compliance knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly developed influencing and communicating skills with staff at all levels, including senior and executive management to convey big picture or complex issues
