Senior Compliance Manager Job Overview

The role of the Senior Compliance Manager involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive compliance framework to address legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and implement a compliance framework that meets all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the compliance team and ensure they have the necessary resources and guidance to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Monitor and interpret regulations and industry standards as they apply to the financial services sector.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and key stakeholders with respect to key compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a financial services licence and the arrangements with authorized representatives.
  • Assess potential compliance risks and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Work with relevant teams to develop and conduct a compliance training program to ensure awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
  • Review and update compliance policies, procedures, and manuals to reflect changes in regulations, legislation, and industry standards.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field.
  • Experience working in the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of Australian financial services regulatory frameworks and compliance obligations.
