Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in New South Wales. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from start to finish. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and project management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
    • Coordinate and manage project activities, including construction, procurement, and logistics.
    • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and opportunities.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration
    • Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
    • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, promoting open communication and a positive work environment.
  • Contract Administration and Risk Management
    • Administer contracts, including negotiation, execution, and management of contractual agreements.
    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, including regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Develop and implement quality and safety plans, including training and awareness programs.
    • Monitor and report on quality and safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Business Development and Growth
    • Identify and pursue business opportunities, including new projects and clients.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to drive business growth and development.
    • Contribute to the development of business strategies and plans, including market analysis and competitive intelligence.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
    • 8-10 years of progressive experience in construction management, project management, or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and project management skills, including experience with project planning, execution, and delivery.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience with team leadership and collaboration.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with risk management and quality control.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
