About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at PCL Constructors Pacific Rim PTY Ltd. in New South Wales. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading medium-sized construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project safety plans, leading by example in health and safety practices and procedures.
- Ensure projects are constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
- Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefits.
- Manage project performance and provide regular performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
- Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments, monitoring their progress and schedule.
- Understand, communicate, and enforce contract and contract documents.
- Develop and coordinate overall project closeout.
- Identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred.
- Demonstrated experience implementing a strong safety culture by application of health, safety, and environment principles and legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry, including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, construction law and building codes, and safety and quality management practices.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills, including the ability to manage project budgets and schedules.
- Ability to identify and manage risk and opportunities on construction projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management and scheduling software, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
