We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Lead to join our team at Transgrid. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our nation-building energy projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to delivering critical energy infrastructure projects. As Project Controls Lead, you will be accountable for project controls including cost, change and risk management, and overseeing planning and schedule management.

You will work closely with our project management team, stream leads and supports to ensure the project controls requirements of the Project Director are met. You will also interact with client/delivery partners' project controls as required to meet performance targets and to ensure sound controls services and results are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project controls strategies to ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage project controls including cost, change and risk management
  • Oversee planning and schedule management
  • Ensure project controls requirements are met
  • Interact with client/delivery partners' project controls as required

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Commerce or similar)
  • High level commercial, business acumen, and problem solving skills
  • Specific and substantial experience in similar Project Controls roles and processes with an emphasis on Cost and Change Control, project risk and performance assessment
  • Proven capacity to manage stakeholder relationships effectively and producing customer centric outcomes
  • Extensive experience in similar roles in engineering and construction projects (Infrastructure, Energy, Power/Transmission, Utilities, etc.), and knowledge of project controls methodologies and standards (such as AACE, PMBOK, etc.)
  • Developed negotiation and presentations skills with collaborative and decisive behaviour style
  • Integrity and commitment to ethical practice, equity and diversity
  • Skilled in project controls systems and tools, and Excel
