Job Title: Nuclear Fuel Specialist

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Fuel Specialist to join our team at the OPAL reactor. In this role, you will provide support to the Utilisation section by performing tasks such as movement and accounting of nuclear fuel/target plates.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform irradiation facility scheduling tasks with accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Use SAP for production activities and raise maintenance notifications.
  • Support processes for fuel assembly and uranium target plate management.
  • Maintain a level of competency in Utilisation Operator duties and undertake operator tasks when required.
  • Provide support to the Target & Canning Laboratory in the preparation of targets for irradiation in the reactor.
