Settlement Policy Coordinator

Job Description:

The Settlement Policy Coordinator leads and coordinates the implementation and evaluation of the NSW settlement strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice to senior executives on settlement matters;
  • Supporting whole-of-government responses to Australian Government settlement policy reviews;
  • Representing NSW at various government committees.

Key Responsibilities:

You will work closely with stakeholders from across government and not-for-profit sectors, supporting the Associate Director and Senior Policy Officers to develop, manage, deliver, and evaluate policies, projects, and initiatives. Your tasks will involve:

  • Developing and implementing strategic initiatives;
  • Undertaking research, development, review, and evaluation aspects of the policy process;
  • Sourcing, collating, and critically analysing information to inform policy positions;
  • Supporting evidence-informed decision-making within the team.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in project development and management, preferably in a policy or service delivery context;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to source and analyse complex information;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a related field;
  • A collaborative and problem-solving approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
