Settlement Officer - Bank of China (Sydney CBD)Position: Settlement Officer - Bank of China Sydney BranchThe primary responsibility of this junior role is to support the settlement of treasury-related transactions within our Operations Department.This is a two-year maximum term contract role, subject to review for an ongoing position after the contract period.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Front office deal settlement, account booking, fund transfer, and settlementCollaborating with internal and external counterparts to resolve settlement issuesPreparing statistical reports related to settlement and clearing servicesInvestigating settlement-related cases and resolving problemsPerforming ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisorCandidate requirements:Over 1 year of treasury settlement relevant experienceProficient in SWIFT and major central clearing house systems (e.g., Austraclear, Clearstream, Euroclear)Knowledge of derivative and inter-bank market settlement policies and practicesDegree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fieldsStrong written and spoken communication skills in English and ChineseEligibility: To apply, you must be a permanent resident or Australian citizen.Application deadline: 16 September 2025.Additional insightsSalary expectations, number of applicants, and skills match will be provided.
