We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our team at TGI Fridays in Chadstone. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.

About the Role:

  • Produce high-quality American-style dishes, including wings, ribs, pasta, and more, in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef or Sous Chef on all kitchen-related matters and report to them when they are on shift; otherwise, you will report to the Venue Manager.
  • Ensure that all meals are cooked according to the restaurant's recipe and plating guides and are served promptly and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment by adhering to all food preparation and cleanliness guidelines.
  • Cook a variety of menu items, including grilling, deep frying, shallow frying, sautéing, blanching, and more, while demonstrating expertise and attention to detail.
  • Clean and organize the kitchen and stock holding areas, ensuring that all equipment and tools are properly maintained and stored.
  • Participate in training seminars and on-the-job development to enhance skills and knowledge, contributing to the overall success of the team.
  • Help the head chef improve current menu items and develop new specials and limited-time offers.

Requirements:

  • Fully Trade Qualified in Commercial Cookery, preferably with Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with strong technical cooking skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed.
