Operational Risk Manager

The Sydney Airport is seeking a highly motivated and capable SSEQ Compliance Advisor to fill a key operational position.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced building site supervisor or compliance professional to leverage their extensive knowledge of high-risk environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor contractor compliance with WHS, quality, environmental, and security obligations.
- Provide advice and coaching on risk controls to improve workplace safety and efficiency.
- Assess contractor SWMS, Safety and Quality Management Plans, and permits to ensure adherence to Australian standards.
- Support coordination between projects, maintenance, and operations to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, WHS, or a related field.
- Experience in construction supervision or compliance roles with strong knowledge of WHS legislation and QA systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and permits, as well as understand Australian construction standards.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work rotating shifts and manage competing priorities.
