Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Manager to join our team and drive effective management of operational risk/resilience in the Oceania Operations division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the implementation of the Operations division's risk strategy, driving effective management and governance, and supporting risk management activities including RCSA, Incident Management, Issue Management, Controls Assurance, Risk Governance etc.

They will also work with the unit to ensure that the control environment is effective and in line with the stated risk appetite, demonstrate and cultivate a risk-aware culture in the business line, and build and maintain productive relationships with the frontline business and other functions across the bank to work through risk issues and ensure the efficient running of Operations processes.

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to risk management.
  • Provide training and coaching to employees on risk management best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years' experience in risk management within financial services, with experience in Operations processes including payments and transaction experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with different teams and build strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence decision-making, clearly challenge process and decisions, and set new standards to ensure best practices are always followed.
  • High motivation and a willingness to get involved.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
