The OrganisationYou will join an iconic international bank with progressive footprints and organic growth in Australia, in their well established Risk Management team. This role is a Mat Leave Cover until June 2020 with the view to extend.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Update the Branch's Operational Risk Policies and Procedures with regards to regulatory updates and risk management principles

  • Implement risk management framework and relevant policies and procedures intoBAU

  • Update and monitor the Branch's risk limits in accordance with principles stated in relevant policies (e.g. Operational, Incident Management, etc.)

  • Monitor risk management activities and conduct risk workshops as per schedule

  • Conduct half-yearly operational risk assessment, identify and rank prominent operational risks of the Branch

  • Assist the business units in developing risk profiles, and design appropriate controls

  • Review and assess potential risks associated with new products and processes

  • Assist Department Head to coordinate with external parties (such asAPRA, internal and external auditors.)

  • Maintain documentations and prepare monthly reports to Management and Committee

  • Other ad-hocworks when required

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in an operational risk & controls (Line 1, 2 or 3),preferablyin Australian Banking / Big4 consulting firms

  • Tertiary qualified or above in finance/business

  • Good updated understanding ofAPRAand other regulatory requirements impacting a foreign ADI's operation

  • Detailed knowledge of principles, practices, theories and concepts relating to operational risk management

  • High attention to detail, with demonstrable autonomy and teamwork

  • Speaking and reading proficiency in both English & Mandarin isessential
