Sales and Event Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced conference and event sales professional to join our team. This role is a part-time, shared position under the guidance of the director of sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively manage sales opportunities to drive effective lead conversion.
- Handle event leads professionally through all channels and ensure seamless customer experience.
- Monitor performance targets for conferences and events.
- Develop and provide detailed proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costs to maximize revenue.
- Coordinate and host familiarisation and site inspection activities.
- Drive sales to achieve conversion targets and monitor success.
- Assist in coordinating sales forecasts and provide strategies to achieve targets.
- Prepare and deliver event handovers to conference and event coordinators.
- Ensure customer events meet client satisfaction and repeat business expectations.
- Proven experience in conference and event planning with a strong track record of driving inquiries and securing new business.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
