About This Role

As a seasoned Applications Packager, you will play a vital role in providing on-going support across our Defence portfolio and driving high-quality solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a background in software and virtualisation packaging and be able to work within the support team to resolve technical issues and problems related to customer infrastructure.

You will develop an understanding of the customers environment and service requirements to enable successful delivery of the service. Key responsibilities include following established procedures, recommending improvements, resolving enquiries, issues or problems, documenting actions taken for continuous service improvement, taking ownership of issues identified, and escalating where necessary.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems related to customer infrastructure.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer environments and service requirements to deliver high-quality services.
  • Follow established procedures, identify areas for improvement, and document actions taken to enhance service delivery.
  • Take ownership of issues, escalate when necessary, and work towards finding optimal solutions or temporary workarounds.

The successful candidate will also be proactive, taking responsibility for learning about current and new products, technologies to support daily business requirements. Additionally, they will assist with the development and enhancement of relevant standards, procedures, and guidelines, and contribute to Customer Service Improvement Plans.

Key Requirements:
  • At least 4 years of experience in packaging software into MSI format.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Virtualisation packaging.
  • Advanced skills in App-V technology.
  • Experience delivering package solutions into XenApp environments.
  • Strong knowledge of application packaging and deployment methodologies using Windows Installer technology.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft deployment methodologies for Windows operating systems.
  • Power Shell scripting expertise.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for application virtualisation (AppV) and SCCM, Intune deployment.
  • Able to hold current or reinstatable NV2 clearance.
