Job Title: Enterprise IT Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise IT Infrastructure Specialist to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of a secure data management platform in defence environments. This role encompasses full system lifecycle management, user support, and technical leadership to ensure secure, compliant, and high-performing IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resilient Server Architecture: Design, deploy, and maintain a resilient Linux server environment ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM): Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, IAM, and network configurations to ensure seamless user authentication and authorisation.
  • Network Security: Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches, including VLANs, DNS, and IAM integration to prevent unauthorised access and ensure data integrity.
  • System Maintenance: Lead ongoing system maintenance, software installation, configuration, integrated testing, and troubleshooting to ensure systems remain up-to-date and secure.
  • User Support: Assist end users by addressing technical inquiries and resolving access or configuration issues to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Patch Management: Oversee patch management, configuration compliance, change control, and vulnerability mitigation to ensure systems remain secure and compliant.
  • Security Audits: Implement system hardening in alignment with the ASD Essential Eight and conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders; provide technical updates and recommendations to leadership to ensure informed decision-making.

About You:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in system administration or IT infrastructure.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
  • Proven expertise in Active Directory and Linux system administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on networking experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring technical teams.
  • Australian citizenship and eligibility for NV2 security clearance.

You must also be willing to travel to customer sites, partner facilities, and other locations across Australia as required.
