Mulgrave Private Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Services Manager to lead our Cardiac Services portfolio. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of cardiac services, managing patient flow, and ensuring timely access to care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Cardiac Services portfolio, including direct management of the Coronary Care Unit and oversight of cardiac services on our Cardiac/Cardiothoracic ward.
- Manage patient flow and access to care, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
- Facilitate best practice clinical cardiac care and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Supervise the education of graduate nurses, registered and enrolled nurses, and postgraduate nurses in cardiac and cardiothoracic nursing.
- Collaborate with our dedicated educators to develop and implement education programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our Visiting Medical Officers, Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Intensivists, and Emergency Department Physicians.
- Ensure bed utilization and length of stay management, efficient labor management, and supply management.
- Bachelor degree in nursing.
- Postgraduate qualification in critical care or cardiac care.
- Previous comprehensive senior management experience within an acute hospital environment.
- Proven experience in managing KPI datasets, including monitoring of activity targets, length of stay management, and human resource management.
- Core knowledge of ACHS national standards and implementation and monitoring of quality activities to support these standards.
