Heavy Equipment Servicing Job Opportunity

Thiess is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our QCoal Northern Hub Coal Project in the Bowen Basin. The ideal candidate will have a trade certificate in diesel fitting and post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earth moving industry.

  • Servicing and Maintenance Responsibilities:
    • Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment as directed.
    • Complete general maintenance, breakdowns, services, and component change-outs to a high standard.
    • Source technical information from relevant reference manuals and OEM systems.
  • Requirements and Qualifications:
    • Trade Certificate in Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification.
    • Post-trade experience working in the mining or heavy earth moving industry.
    • Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change-outs, and servicing of heavy earth moving equipment.
    • Demonstrated experience with CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi heavy earth moving equipment.
