Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of a team responsible for major construction and maintenance works.

  • Leading and managing a team to achieve optimal results.
  • Exhibiting leadership behaviors by taking initiative, responsibility, and referring issues related to ethics and probity.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by identifying process improvements and supporting change.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervising and supporting a team to enable efficient operation.
  2. Undertaking project planning including investigation, CCTV, basic plans, estimating, ordering materials, and organizing resources.
  3. Providing advice in relation to major sewer repairs.
  4. Actively promoting involvement of staff in team meetings.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Water Industry or relevant trade qualifications or considerable experience in construction of wastewater/water systems.
  • Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Current NSW SafeWork First Aid Certificate.
  • Current National WHS Construction Card (SafeWork).
  • Current NSW SafeWork Confined Spaces Entry Certificate.
  • Asbestos Licence for removal of >10 sq meters.
  • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship or authority to work in Australia (visa).
  • Supervisory experience including ability to lead and promote teamwork.
  • Recent relevant experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure work.
