We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in a Casual Role.
This role involves providing personalized care and assistance to individuals with disabilities to help them live independently and participate actively in their communities.
The successful candidate will be assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
They will also be facilitating and participating in recreational, social, and educational activities to promote client wellbeing.
Additionally, they will be advocating for clients' rights and ensuring they receive the support and services they need.
The Support Worker will document client progress and maintain accurate records.
They will collaborate with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support services to deliver coordinated care.
This role may require overnight/sleepover support on a weekly basis.
About the Role:
- Providing individualized support to people with disabilities
- Assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care and meal preparation
- Facilitating social and recreational activities
- Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
What We're Looking For:
- A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field (highly desirable)
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
- A current Drivers Licence, own reliable vehicle and Comprehensive Car Insurance
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance & Working with Children Check
- First Aid & CPR
