Pediatric Speech Pathologist

About the Role
Yooralla is seeking a passionate and experienced Pediatric Speech Pathologist to join our team in providing high-quality speech pathology services to children with disabilities. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists to deliver evidence-based therapy services that promote functional skills, participation, and overall health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy services in various settings, including homes, educational settings, and the community, to maximize a person's functional skills and participation.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide indirect client service and family coordination to support client goals.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote independence and self-advocacy.
- Participate in regular team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices and research in speech pathology.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent qualification.
- Current membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).
- Experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems.
