About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team at Yooralla, a leading disability service provider in Victoria. As a Speech Pathologist, you will work with adults with a disability to provide best practice, evidence-based speech pathology services to achieve their goals and live the life they choose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapy in people's homes, educational settings, or in the community to support clients to achieve their goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication skills, mealtime safety, and overall health and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists to provide comprehensive support to clients.
  • Provide indirect client service and family coordination to support client goals.
Requirements
  • Established and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to engage people with a disability, motivate them, and build their capability.
  • Ability to work in partnership with adults with a disability to set and achieve goals.
  • Experience working within a transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary team model.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Willingness to improve on your clinical practice, including self-reflection and a focus on developing clinical skills in areas you're not familiar with.
  • Care for the work you do and for the people you work with.
  • Competency in a variety of IT platforms, particularly client management systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Australian driver's license and own vehicle, and a willingness to travel the Southern region of Melbourne as required.
