Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver to join our team at Challenge Community Services. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a vital role in facilitating safe and meaningful family time for children and young people in the Permanency Support Program.

About the Role

This rewarding position involves providing individualized support to children and young people, enabling them to build strong relationships with their families and significant others. You will also have the opportunity to utilize your skills and knowledge to mentor children and young people in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate safe and meaningful family time for children and young people in the Permanency Support Program.
  • Provide individualized support to children and young people, enabling them to build strong relationships with their families and significant others.
  • Mentor children and young people in various settings.
  • Ensure thorough communication and documentation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with others.
  • Written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and complete formal documentation in relevant software programs.
  • Individual and team work, with the ability to think quickly on your feet and make informed decisions in complex situations.
  • Flexibility, with a willingness to work non-standard hours as required.
  • A current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement), NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain), and full COVID vaccination status.
  • Possession of an Australian Driver's License.
