**ABOUT US**

Pegasus Community Care has been a staffing specialist for the Community Services Sector since 2002.

We are currently looking for care staff who can commit to regular hours on a rotating roster in permanent full time, permanent part time or casual employment, supporting children/young people who live in out of home care.

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a developmentally and trauma informed care environment for children and young people, providing care for children and young people while a kinship, foster care, or other carer-based placement is identified.

The aim of the program is to nurture and support children and young people to thrive and reach their potential.

The program is based on the Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC) framework with a strong trauma recovery focus. As a youth worker you will become part of the child’s multi-disciplinary care team.

**ABOUT YOU**

If you love providing child centred care that meets the unique needs of each child or young person, then this position is for you We are looking for passionate and resilient people who are team players, driven to provide safe, nurturing and therapeutic care.

To be considered for this position, you will hold a **minimum** qualification of a Certificate IV in Youth, Community Services or a related field (e.g. education, allied health, disability, community services, human services). You must have demonstrated experience working with children and young people in a residential care setting, and an understanding of Legislation relevant to the role.

In addition, you will have highly developed communication skills (both written and verbal), strong interpersonal skills, crisis-management knowledge and intermediate computer skills. Disability and Mental Health experience will be highly regarded.

- Evidence of Australian Citizenship/Permanent Residency
- National Police Check (less than six months old)
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
- The required NDIS Orientation Modules
- 2 relevant reference checks
