Job Description:
The Humanities Department at our school is seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to lead the team as a permanent teaching position with a 3-year Position of Added Responsibility. The successful candidate will share responsibility for delivering curriculum within the Humanities subjects and activities across the Secondary College, overseeing the Humanities Department and teachers.

Main Duties:
• Provide effective leadership to the Humanities Department to develop engaging programs that foster a love of Humanities subjects for our students.
• Plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching programs in line with Australian Professional Standards, QLD curriculum frameworks, and educational trends.
• Contribute to the Secondary leadership of the College to support and enact the College's strategic teaching and learning priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Personal views and beliefs that align with the Christian ethos of the College, demonstrated by an active faith and church involvement, and the ability to teach and live from a Biblical worldview.
• Australian qualified teacher with QLD Teacher's Registration or registration with another state, with the ability to obtain QLD Teacher's registration;
• A combination of Humanities subjects, which could include Senior Business, Legal Studies, Modern History, Social & Community Studies, and HASS.
