Department Leader Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a department, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education in subjects such as Business, Legal Studies, Modern History, and Social & Community Studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging programs that foster a love of Humanities subjects in students.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess effective teaching programs aligned with Australian Professional Standards and QLD curriculum frameworks.
  • Contribute to the Secondary leadership of the College, supporting strategic teaching and learning priorities.
Requirements:
  • Australian qualified teacher with QLD Teacher's Registration or registration with another state.
  • Main teaching set: combination of Humanities subjects (Business, Legal Studies, Modern History, Social & Community Studies).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Energetic and positive attitude.
About the Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have personal views and beliefs that align with the Christian ethos of the College, and will be able to demonstrate an active faith and church involvement. They will teach and live from a Biblical worldview.
