Job Title: People and Safety AdvisorAbout the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position in our Human Resources team based at Council's administrative offices. The successful candidate will provide guidance and general support across various HR functions, contributing to an enhanced employee experience.

About You

We seek an experienced HR professional with exceptional organizational skills and ability to interpret, analyze, and advise on industrial relations legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • A Certificate IV in Human Resource Management or relevant qualification/practical experience is required.
  • Talent acquisition, onboarding, human resource projects, administration, performance planning and management, policy development are essential tasks.
  • Proficiency in using human resource information systems, data entry, reports, advertisements, and employment contracts with high accuracy is necessary.
  • Interpretation, analysis, and advice on Local Government State Award 2023, industrial relations legislation, and company policies are critical responsibilities.
  • Organizational skills, meeting deadlines, accurate record keeping, and confidentiality are vital qualities.
  • Maintaining a harmonious team environment, developing innovative solutions, customer service, and communication/influencing skills are essential.
