Job Description

**Job Summary:**

The Department of Health (WA Health) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our policy development team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of policies and initiatives related to the prevention and control of sexually transmissible infections, and reforms that support organisational objectives and Government commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and implement policies and initiatives that align with the Department's strategic objectives.
  • Manage a team of policy officers to ensure effective policy development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Department and external agencies to ensure policy alignment and effective implementation.
  • Provide expert advice on policy development and implementation to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective policy development and implementation.

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as public health, health policy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in policy development and implementation, preferably in a government or health sector setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective policy solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on achieving results.
