Asset Policy Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Asset Management function within SSEN Distribution. As Asset Policy Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing asset standards and specifications to optimize the procurement, installation, inspection, maintenance, operation, replacement, and decommissioning of our SSEN assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and Manage a Team: You will lead and manage a team of professional Asset Standards Engineers to develop and implement asset standards and specifications.
- Provide Technical Authority: You will provide technical authority from the team to lead and report on asset failure/defect investigations.
- Develop and Implement Asset Standards: You will develop and implement asset standards and specifications to optimize the procurement, installation, inspection, maintenance, operation, replacement, and decommissioning of our SSEN assets.
- Improve Resilience: You will develop thinking to improve resilience in our teams and ensure that competent engineers with the appropriate qualifications and experience are employed.
- Leadership Experience: You will have proven ability to lead a team of technical staff.
- Excellent Planning and Organizational Skills: You will have excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to Deliver: You will have the ability to deliver within challenging timescales and effectively prioritize, plan, and organize.
- Change Management Experience: You will have change management experience relating to implementing new specifications and standards.
