Lead Innovation in Data Engineering

You will be responsible for shaping the evolution of our technical squad through contribution to the BB technology strategy, prioritizing backlog, defining delivery roadmap, and determining which problems to invest in solving.

You will have the ability to build, lead, and inspire an engaged team of engineers while fostering an engineering culture of excellence. We value collaboration, co-creation, and contribution to existing Data Engineering practices in the team.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and deliver enterprise-wide data ingestion, data integration, and data pipeline solutions using Hadoop and AWS.
  • Experience in building data solutions in Hadoop platforms using Spark, MapReduce, Kafka, and various ETL frameworks for distributed data storage and processing.
  • Strong functional programming and scripting skills in Scala, Java, or Python.
  • Proficient in SQL scripting, writing complex SQLs for building data pipelines.
About You:

We're looking for someone with a strong track record of leading and mentoring data engineers, including ownership of internal business stakeholder relationships and working with consultants. Experience in working in Agile teams, including working closely with internal business stakeholders, is essential.

Certification on AWS is a plus, but not required. We also value familiarity with data warehousing and data mart build experience in Teradata, Oracle, or RDBMS systems.
